I can stand for hours in the shallows looking down at the moving water swirling around my ankles. It is the view I imagine in meditation, when I am seriously upset and when I am joyously happy. This painting is the epitome of my concept of art-e-motion, the movement in the water moves, calms and yet intrigues me.
Now for the weird part. This painting is an odd shape because I painted it to cover the big black gaping hole that is the TV screen that hangs on our wall.
Paris March 24x30 Acrylic on Canvas SOLD
My cousin, Bobbi took a photo from which this composition was conceived. It was March, and even in the early afternoon Paris is dark enough that the Eiffel Tower is glowing.
Santorini 24x18 Oil on Canvas: Private Collection
Lily Pond 12x16 Acrylic on Canvas $200
This small painting was a study for another series. I find it hard to control myself in such cramped conditions but this worked.
K&C Sechelt 30x26 Oil on Canvas : Private Collection
Sechelt is a small oceanside town where the shore runs from smooth sand to granite boulders. The water pools as sea creatures and children play.
Mary's Tulips 24x30 Acrylic on Canvas $300
This bunch was so tightly closed that the colour was taken on faith. I was only a little surprised when one opened to the palest of creamy yellow.
3 Paris Windows ea. 16x20 Triptych SOLD
Three windows that epitomize French wedding chic. Through the glass the pieces float in front of the mundane shop business.
Paris Traffic 31 x 39 Acrylic on Canvas
The red tail lights of Paris' non-stop traffic flows like a red scarf around the base of the Eiffel Tower.
White Tulips 20x24 Acrylic on Canvas $3000
White tulips fascinate me. The colours seem to flow with the cream of sun, green of the grass and flashes of blue sky.
Rising Moon 30x49 Acrylic on Board $3500
This is a study on reflections.
The moon and the water are mirrors for the other.
I love the idea that the moon could be rising or setting.
